Sam Lawson, Managing Director
Sam is an Australian-based recruitment executive with 15 years’ experience in board, executive and staff recruitment. He is the Managing Director of two recruitment businesses, Regent Recruitment and Wallage Executive, each with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. He also founded the Australian Personnel Consortium, a national network of recruitment organisations.
Sam has a strong interest in recruitment methodologies, technologies and recruitment industry developments in general. As a practicing Migration Agent and Real Estate Agent, he is able to advise organisations looking to relocate executives to Australia.
Sam is a past Vice President of the Vic/Tas Division of the recruitment industry’s representative body, the RCSA, and is a past member of the RCSA’s Ethics Committee. Prior to his involvement in the recruitment sector, he worked in financial services as an Institutional Client Advisor, specialising in Equity Derivatives. He currently holds directorships in the recruitment, real estate, tourism and investment sectors.
Rachel Roberts, General Manager
Rachel's diverse experience in recruitment and management has enabled her to successfully manage teams and assume a leadership role within the business. With a BA (Hons) Business Administration and extensive trained and experience in OH&S management and compliance, Rachel is practiced in running all aspects of a business.
She is self-disciplined and well-connected across a range of industries, allowing her to recruit across a wide range of professions.
Margaret Francis, Senior Consultant
Margaret is a senior manager who is primarily responsible for Regent’s government accounts. She holds a Bachelor of Business, with majors in HR and Marketing. Throughout her eight years in recruitment, Margaret’s professionalism and emphasis on quality have earned her an enviable reputation in the industry.
Broad experience in all aspects of the profession, including bulk recruitment and account management, has provided her with a solid foundation for managing teams. Before joining Regent, she honed her management skills with senior positions as Operations Manager and Branch Manager.
Margaret’s strong customer service orientation stems from her training and experience in the aviation industry, where she worked as a Customer Service Officer before embarking on her recruitment career.
Farisha Dean, Consultant
Farisha is an experienced consultant and account manager. Her natural style complements the Regent approach of professional service delivered with care and attention. Clients and candidates alike appreciate her regular contact which ensures that her service always meets Regent’s exacting standards.
A Bachelor of Business and a major in Human Resource Management allowed Farisha to enter the recruitment profession with a keen awareness of the service levels required of a successful consultant. Prior to joining Regent, she gained valuable experience in associate consultant and resourcer roles. With this experience and her customer-focused, friendly approach, Farisha is a valued member of the Regent team.
Eva Smales, Client Care Administrator
Eva is an accomplished and knowledgeable administrator with a commitment to quality and personalised service. She has a particular interest in community service. Her experience in a number of companies including an international accounting firm, management consultancy and market research company, has equipped her with strong customer service skills and efficient, productive problem solving strategies.
Eva produces weekly rosters for home carers and ‘goes the extra mile’ to respond to special requests. She takes care in matching clients and carers and creates a smoothly run service. Eva also considers the need for continuity and reliability expressed by both HACC clients and care staff when compiling rosters. In order to bring further knowledge to her role, Eva completed her Certificate III in HACC in 2008.
Daniel Grimmond, Consultant
Daniel’s main responsibility is to assist commercial clients with their permanent roles. Working with Canberra-based law firms, accounting firms, media organisations and construction companies, he has filled a range of call centre, switchboard, reception, admin and banking roles.
He also has a strong interest in recruiting for medical and not-for-profit organisations and is building this segment of Regent’s business.
Daniel has a Bachelor of Management and Bachelor of Science (Psychology). With majors in Management, Governance and Policy and a minor in Entrepreneurship, he has a solid understanding of psychometric testing and profiling, organisational structures, government policy and both public and private sector management.
Eddie Ho, Financial Controller
Eddie manages the financial and accounting aspects of the company, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all financial activities. CPA qualified, Eddie brings over 30 years accounting experience in the manufacturing, printing and recruitment industries.
During his seven years in the recruitment industry, Eddie has taken a hands-on approach to the role, applying his commercial and analytical skills to bring about successful outcomes for both the client and the agency.
Lynnley Palamountain, Payroll Manager
Lynnley Palamountain, our Payroll Manager, has extensive experience in all aspects of payroll, and oversees all functions relating to this area. Lynnley manages the weekly pay run of all casual and contract staff nationally.
Accuracy and efficiency are the key elements to the smooth operation of Regent’s payroll process. Lynnley administers and implements all general and weekly payroll functions including PAYE, superannuation and reconciliation of timesheet reports. With extensive knowledge of awards, she liaises closely with clients on changes relating to casual staff payment, overtime, allowances and related topics.
With systematic procedures in place and Lynnley’s diligent approach we ensure an error rate of less than 1%.
Paul Fry, Marketing Communications Manager
Paul is responsible for writing and editing Regent’s tender responses, web content, brochures, media releases and other marketing material. He also assists his colleagues with their writing projects, manages the Regent Rewards program, and conducts client and candidate surveys. His goal is to continuously improve the quality of Regent’s published material.
With a Bachelor of Applied Science, Paul began his writing career with a specialist Australian PR company that produced technical articles, media releases and related communications material for global technology companies. Prior to discovering his vocation as a writer and editor, Paul enjoyed a varied career in telecommunications, working as a Recruitment Consultant, Business Development Manager and Research Engineer.
Irina Stojcevska, Reception
Irina is an experienced receptionist who manages our busy switchboard as well as supporting the team with various administrative duties.
She joined us after working as an Administration Assistant/Receptionist for three years.
