Why we run online tests
Candidate testing
Regent is accredited to administer over 50 ability tests and 10 different questionnaires for use in the assessment of cognitive abilities, risk profile, workplace skills, workplace personality, personal health care, behavioural style and aptitude.
The use of these assessment tools improves job satisfaction (and retention rates for employers) by assisting you to find a position that suits you best. The tests are relevant to the workplace and are based on carefully targeted questions that have been refined over many years. They come with stated reliabilities and can include reference to suitable comparison groups.
Psychometric tests are often employed when recruiting for senior positions. They are also widely used in our Assessment Centre process for bulk recruitment campaigns.
Each test and questionnaire has been carefully designed to be free of cultural or regional bias and undergoes a thorough process of development to ensure it is relevant to the particular role and workplace.
Induction
In recognition of the variety of conditions and circumstances in different workplaces, we not only evaluate the working environment of our casual employees, but also equip them with OH&S training to ensure they can identify and report any potential hazards or risks they may encounter.
As part of this induction process, casual staff complete our Learning Seat online training program. Learning Seat is an interactive system that imparts information and evaluates employee responses to ensure a thorough understanding. In addition to undergoing OH&S training, our casual employees participate in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Privacy training.
