Bill Himonas

Bill has been part of the VicRoads Sunshine Registration and Licensing (R&L) team since September 2008. He is a very diligent and valued member of the VicRoads/Regent team and consistently performs to a very high standard.

His manager and team leaders often comment on his work ethic and positive approach: "Bill is well mannered, very polite and is always willing to assist. Bill completes all tasks with a 'can do' attitude. There have been instances where management have walked past the counter and customers have complimented Bill on how efficient and polite he was. He sets a good example for all."

During 2009, Bill's efforts were formally acknowledged twice by VicRoads, when he received management nominations for the VicRoads Sunshine staff-achievement award.

Lyn Beasy

Our December star, Lyn Beasy, works as a Home and Community Care (HACC) Intake Officer with the Nillumbik Shire Council in Victoria. She has been with Regent since 2007 and has worked at Nillumbik for over a year.

As well as having a fantastic work record, Lyn has an excellent reputation at an Aged Care nursing home, where she works regular shifts. She spent Christmas Day there, as some of the residents don’t have any family to visit them. Lyn enjoys working with older members of the community, and sees her work as an opportunity to stay in touch with their needs.

Our November star is Deepak Gyawali, who is the ‘2IC’ of Outbound Call Centres at NRMA Motoring & Services in New South Wales. We consistently receive feedback highlighting Deepak’s strong understanding of the NRMA team – he shows a clear understanding of his relationship with our client (NRMA) and Regent as a whole.

Mary works as a Personal Assistant in the Legal Services area at Telstra. She is highly valued by her supervisor and colleagues, and recently won a Telstra award for her great work. She has received exceptional feedback from her supervisor, who commented on her work ethic, enthusiasm and friendly manner:

“Mary is a fabulous addition to the teams and our area. She is very organised and always showing initiative, and is always looking at new ways of doing things. Our Star of the Month for July is Jennifer Abraham, who works as a Call Centre Operator with Centrelink. Jennifer met all her KPIs during the month, and received a special compliment from one of Centrelink’s customers for her care and attention. Her manager says:

Eileen has been with Regent since February 2007, when she started in the Canberra Connect Call Centre. She has been doing a great job there, as the testaments from Canberra Connect show:

A valuable member of the Managed Services Team, Eileen can be counted on to cover a shift whenever we are short staffed, and will happily work with any group. Ewa Weinzieher!

This month’s ‘Star Temp’ Award has been won by Ewa Weinzieher, from the Workflow Deployment area of Telstra’s TN&S Service Delivery group.

Ewa has a well-earned reputation for being a hard worker who always gives 100%. Ewa’s Team Leader spoke highly of her achievements in the Review Team:

“She just puts her head down and keeps ploughing through the work. Ewa is very flexible and has never said no when I ask if she can stay back later than her finish time, or if she can come in earlier. She recently stepped up to be trained in scheduling, and now assists our team covering lunch breaks.”

Wendy Ash began with the City of Glen Eira in early 2009, working as a Personal Carer for six weeks while one of their permanent staff was on annual leave. Wendy’s professional manner, work ethic and quality of work were clearly appreciated by her manager:

Dean Baxter!

Dean has come a long way since starting at Canberra Connect’s Call Centre in October 2007. He recently moved up to a Branch Training Officer role and, in mid-February, is starting as the acting Team Leader! Canberra Connect is extremely happy with Dean’s performance:

“Dean has been of immense value to Canberra Connect since he joined the team and has really come to the fore in recent times. He has taken on responsibility for ensuring that exceptional levels of customer service are maintained across a specialised line of business. Annemaree Dick!


Annemaree Dick has been working as a temp for Regent since 2006. She is an integral and valued member of the team at Telstra in Launceston and continually demonstrates a positive attitude within the extremely busy work environment.

Joy Nicolas!


Joy Nicolas started with Regent when she commenced an assignment for the City of Moreland in February as a Personal Carer. From my first meeting with Joy, I was impressed by the sincere manner in which she spoke about her interest in helping and supporting others. Joy has assisted her family to a degree that would not be expected of such a young person and she has certainly transferred her care and attention to the elderly residents she takes care of on behalf of the City of Moreland.

Since working with Regent, Joy has been a reliable and committed worker, always kept in touch and asked for help when needed. She understands the consequences for her elderly clients if she is not able to be at work, so is very reliable. I consider this award a very small gesture to thank Joy for her wonderful efforts to bring comfort to her elderly clients and the considerate and courteous manner in which she interacts with the staff at the City of Moreland and at Regent.

Dinusha Happawana!


Dinusha works at Telstra - Deployment Control in Glen Waverly and has been an excellent employee of Regent for almost 12 months.

He has been nominated consistently throughout the year for Reward and Recognition. He consistently exceeds our expectations and has done extremely well in all aspects of his work.

Satinder joined Regent after starting with the TAMS Fleet Management Team on a Government Initiative program.

Ross joined Regent on the 25/06/07 and in this time he has consistently met targets. He involves himself in team activities and has gone outside his role at times by completing tasks such as team meeting minutes. He's been working as a temp for Regent since 10/2006 and is currently working as an administrative officer at VicRoads Kew in the Registration and licensing department.

Connie Hajiliassis!

Regent is proud to have a team of healthcare workers who demonstrate the combination of expert skills and personal qualities that are required to work successfully in the Home and Community Care field. These qualities are highly valued and acknowledged by our clients who continue to give us positive feedback our staff.

This month we would like to recognize Connie Hajiliassis , one of our Home Carers who has been working for Regent with a local council. After a career in childcare, Connie decided to focus her skill on the provision for care for the elderly. Home Care provides a vital service to support elderly people in their own homes. Carers like Connie assist with household chores but most importantly, “ care “ about their clients and provide some friendly social interaction. Connie has proved to be an energetic and thoughtful home carer who has been a role model in this field.

We would like to thank Connie for her commitment and recognize that the work she does makes a very positive difference to the quality of life of her elderly clients.

Narod is a committed member of our team. She continuously supports her team through building morale and assisting to cover shifts whenever possible. This happens often and recently included Narod assisting some us with some contractors that were coming onto site later at night. Jacqueline Evelyn has been nominated as our star temp. Jacqueline has been working with us since July 2006, during which time she has become part of the leadership team at our Telstra CNI site in Launceston. In recent times she has picked up additional tasks including induction and training of new staff along with assisting in the updating and preparation of a site manual. Jayde Firns!

This month's star temp of the month is Jayde Firns, currently working at VicRoads.

Jayde has recently successfully completed the Pola Licence Testing Course. This is a complex 8 day training course and Jayde excelled at this, and has conducted herself in a very professional manner - with a maturity well beyond her years. Jayde is also a very contentious and willing worker, who is very popular amongst other staff members. Jayde has really excelled with Vic Roads since undertaking the role in March this year, and has shown that she has all the attributes for success in the future.

Vicki Little!

Vicki Little may have only joined Regent recently, but what an impact she has made! Vicki started with Canberra Connect in their call centre team in July 2006, transitioned across to Regent in November 2006, and we have consistently received fantastic feedback about her performance, with 4 nominations for her this month!

"Vicki's name comes up most regularly in the team leaders' one-on-ones with the other staff who make comments such as 'Vicki is always dependable', 'good at her job', can be relied upon to assist with the right answer', 'is always good for a laugh when you need a lift'. Teresa Swierc in our Launceston office should be recognised for promoting the Telstra values on a daily basis. It is always nice to walk through the door the see her smiling face. As she is the first point of contact for our visitors and customers to the centre, she should be congratulated for promoting Telstra with a friendly attitude and professionalism. She goes about her work in a quiet and unassuming manner. Teresa is always ready to lend a hand or answer any question at the drop of a hat without being flustered or unapproachable.

Victoria Walters!

Introducing Victoria Walters as Regent’s Star Temp of the Month for February! Victoria has played an integral part in the smooth running of our Adelaide healthcare division. As well as completing her regular roster as a Home Carer she has gone beyond the call of duty many times, making herself available when unforeseeable circumstances have arisen such as absences, emergencies and additional client requests. Victoria understands the importance that a Home Carer plays within the community and how many less fortunate people have come to rely on her. Victoria is always willing to help no matter how big or small the job may be and maintains her usual cheer and enthusiasm for every job. Regent as well as our Adelaide clients are grateful for this.

This month's star temp is Lisa Beauglehall from Telstra's Geelong Call Centre, here are some of things that her Team Manager had to say about her:

Lisa has shown continued improvement since her commencement 27/03/06. The key improvements/qualities shown include:

  • Always willing to assist no matter what the task.
  • Call Quality 97% and above since commencement of service.
  • Excellent results every month including 98% average adherence to schedule.
  • Met her $ goal since commencement and exceeded this.
  • Sick leave has been at a bare minimum of .86% on average.
  • Extremely professional attitude and clear tone when speaking with customers.
  • Very empathetic to those more unsettled/upset customers with the rare ability to calm and subdue the more difficult situations.

Overall Lisa has an excellent work attitude/ethic and it is an absolute pleasure to have a such professional consultant working with me.

Annette Fanning has been working with the Moonee Valley Council as a home carer since October 2005. In this time Annette has been a dedicated and loyal home carer in an industry that is rapidly growing and changing. Annette has been chosen as Regent's Star Temp of the month for her continuous commitment, reliability and hard work. John Miles!

John Miles, based at Telstra's call centre at King's Meadows, Tasmania, has recently been taking on a number of extra duties, over and above those expected. The area that he has been working in for the past 3.5 years has been under going a restructure. He has been training all of the new staff that are going to be working within this area. John has displayed an extremely professional and positive attitude throughout the training and all of the trainees have been coming out of the training job ready. John has proved to be an extremely valuable member of our team.

Megan started working with Regent Recruitment in August 2004 when she joined the VicRoads rural call centre located in Ballarat. In November 2005 Megan moved to Melbourne and was transferred to the call centre located in Kew. While working at VicRoads Megan has demonstrated very good adherence to schedule, and recently has improved her overall performance meeting and exceeding most of the call centre requirements. She is able to assist customers with complex transactions and is able to help her colleagues when questions arise from time to time.

Kevin Diep from Telstra BigPond Credit Management has been with Regent for over 12 months now and during this time both his performance and general involvement in the centre have improved out of sight.

He has a fantastic attitude towards his work and his colleagues and either meets or exceeds his targets on most days. Kevin has adapted to a new dialler system very quickly and is always willing to help out his colleagues where needed. Sam joined us at Regent as a temp a little over 6 weeks ago. In that time she has developed the skills required to perform her duties and exceed expectations producing results that are vastly greater than average. Sam currently works on a cataloguing project which requires accuracy, speed and attention to detail.
